Climb for Tim Nielsen

Climb. Conquer. Cure.
At the beginning of January, my Uncle Tim passed peacefully into the night. He longed battle leukemia with brilliance and bravery.
He spent his final weeks being visited by everyone who loved him and Tim learned the vastness of his kind reach. A public servant, he had a humble heart and didn’t ask for more than music, fun and family.
When I was 16, he met my aunt who was the love of his life. They had a beautiful journey. They were always there for each other and had lots of adventures.
I climbed many flights of stairs in his honor and dreamed he would be cured. His humor never wavered and his charm was inevitable but eventually his time came and he fought until the end.
Tim’s spirit goes on through all of us that deeply cherished his company. I will miss him dearly.
This year I will be climbing to honor the courage and dignity that Tim showed in battling Leukemia and to honor the joy he brought to me, my family and everyone that knew him.
