Welcome to Danika's 2024 Climb

Climb. Conquer. Cure.
69 Flights I 1,356 Steps I 788 Ft. Vertical Elevation
I am officially participating in the LLS Firefighter Stairclimb in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The last time I signed up to climb covid hit & the climb was shut down. I ended up doing the climb on my own time with Freya on my back as my "airpack." This year I am so excited to finally be able to climb in-person next to so many amazing people & firefighters. Before I ascend the Columbia Center, I will be raising funds in the name of funding and finding a cure. Please consider making a donation to not only help me achieve my personal fundraising goal, but to benefit patients and their families everywhere. .
What is the LLS Firefighter Stairclimb?
The LLS Firefighter Stairclimb is the world's largest on-air stair climb competition, and annual fundraiser held at the tallest building in Seattle, the Columbia Center. All 2,000 participants are career, volunteer, or retired firefighters who will climb up the second tallest skyscraper west of the Mississippi in full turnout gear. All proceeds raised directly benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and since its inception in 1991, this event has raised over $22 million thus far.
Why I climb?
Each day over 5000 people are diagnosed with cancer. Almost 500 of those a day are those diagnosed with a blood cancer. Each and everyone one of us continues to be impacted by our rising cancer rates and my family has been no exception. This event is my opportunity to help raise awareness and funding in the hopes that one day with better treatment options we can all have positive treatment outcomes regardless of diagnosis.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and sincere generosity in this cause worth climbing for.
