RALLY YOUR TEAM
Host a team dinner to make a fundraising plan for the year. Create an email or Facebook group to share stories, words of encouragement and key fundraising tips.
GIVE TO YOURSELF
When others see that you support the cause as well, it encourages them to support your efforts too.
MAKE IT PERSONAL
Tell YOUR story about why you Pineapple. People like to support others when they know why you participate. Check out our 'Why We Pineapple' tab for inspiration.
JUST ASK
You never know who will support your efforts unless you ask! Share why you climb and your donation link in emails and on social media. Email templates are provided in your Participant Center.
SAY THANK YOU
Send a personal thank you to your donors donors within the first 48 hours of their donation. Additionally, thanking them publicly will help encourage others to support you as well. Social media is a great place for that.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Share your fundraising page on Facebook (though don't use their fundraising link as it won't come to Pineapple), Twitter, Instagram, and emails. People may support you through these asks that you might not have thought to ask at first.
SET A GOAL
People like to give when you have a goal set. Adding how close you are to your goal (50%, 75%, 90%) helps influence others to support you in reaching your goal! You can always increase your goal once you've hit it.
FOLLOW UP
It is okay to follow up with the people you have asked. People are busy and sometimes need a reminder!
WEAR YOUR GEAR
Have Pineapple swag? Wear it! This is a great way to get others to learn about the Winter Pineapple Classic and start the conversation about supporting you.
MATCHING GIFTS
Matching gifts are a great and easy way to double your efforts to cure blood cancer! Make sure you and your donors check with your companies to see if they'll match your donation and email MatchingGifts.PNW@lls.org the confirmation.
SPECIAL DATES
Ask for donations in lieu of gifts for your birthday, anniversary, or special holiday. Asking people to give an amount for these special days is a great way to grow your impact.
