Hello! I will be participating in the Winter Pineapple Classic this year in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). This event is headed by our daughter McKenzie and I sit on the advisory committee.  Raising funds for cancer research is so important to me personally.  Since I know they have never cured my type of lymphoma and because of the endless cases I see through the non-profit I founded, Soulumination I am so determined to make a difference. 
What is the Winter Pineapple Classic?

The Winter Pineapple Classic is a fundraiser 5k(ish) obstacle course at King County's Marymoor Park on. Pineapple is not timed and is a family friendly event. All participants carry a pineapple (provided by Chestnut Hill Farms) and most dress in costume. The more money I raise the more event day perks that are unlocked! Such as a Georgetown Brewing beer garden, a Hawaiian buffet and long sleeved shirt. Although this obstacle course is a test of physical endurance, it pales in comparison to what blood cancer patients endure. All proceeds raised directly benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and since its inception, this event has raised over $4 million.
