Climb. Conquer. Cure.
Hello family and friends!
On Sunday, March 10th I will be participating in the 28th annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Firefighter Stairclimb as part of "Team Everett Fire".
Before I climb the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle, I will be raising funds to help find a cure for this devastating disease. A donation of any amount will not only help me achieve my personal fundraising goal, but also benefit patients and their families experiencing this cancer.
As a cancer survivor myself, I know the importance of finding a cure. I am proud and thankful (and honored to participate in the "Survivor" Battalion) to have this opportunity to participate in this endeavor.
What is the LLS Firefighter Stairclimb?
The LLS Firefighter Stairclimb is the world's largest on-air stair climb competition, and annual fundraiser held at the tallest building in Seattle, the Columbia Center.
All 2,000 participants are firefighters who will climb the second tallest skyscraper west of the Mississippi in full turnout gear, weighing over 50 pounds, while on-air. Although this is an extreme test of physical endurance, it pales in comparison to what blood cancer patients endure.
All proceeds raised directly benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and since its inception in 1991, this event has raised over $17 million. (Last years event top fund raiser in the nation? Team Everett Fire!!!!)
Thank you for your time and consideration.
