Big Climb 2020 Sarah's Personal Fundraising Page
Big Climb. Seattle. March 22. Let's do this.
Last year, I met Tom. Tom is truly wonderful. Tom loves his family. He and his family have experienced the impacts of blood cancer firsthand, and he's doing something about it. This year, I've decided to join him. Can I count on your support?
Help our team reach (dare I say, beat?) our fundraising goal of $50,000! My little piece of that: $500. Every dollar gets me closer to my goal!
What is the Big Climb?
The Big Climb is a stairclimb up the Columbia Center—the tallest skyscraper in downtown Seattle at 69 floors. That's 1311 steps and 788 feet of vertical elevation. It's going to be a challenge, sure, but this challenge pales in comparison to what blood cancer patients go through. So that's why we're doing this—every dollar we raise benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
What is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society?
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma—and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Every day, more than 347 LLS-sponsored researchers come closer to the goal of finding a cure for these diseases. Here in Seattle, LLS funds 10 researchers at Fred Hutch and UW Medical Center. Your support enables LLC to continue this important work and reach more patients and families in our community.
