Welcome to My Personal Page
Hello! And thank you for visiting my personal page.
Due to everything currently going on in the world, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has transitioned this year’s climbs to one Big Virtual Climb. On Saturday, June 13 (or during the preceeding week), we will climb as one to virtually get to the top of San Francisco’s iconic Salesforce Tower. The Big Virtual Climb is a stairclimb up 61 floors of stairs (that's 1,762 steps) to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). LLS has made this decision to keep everyone safe during this coronavirus situation, especially the hundreds of patients, caregivers, and survivors who participate in this event each year.
Participants get to choose between finding 1,762 stair-steps that equal climbing to the top of Salesforce Tower, or taking 8,810 strides while walking or jogging, or doing 600 chair step-ups (NOPE!).
Since I hadthe good fortune to lay over in Honolulu on Thursday (6/11), I had hoped to hike the Diamond Head Summit Trail for my Virtual Big Climb, if it was open by then. Turns out it was not (no big surprise) so I walked the 5.2 miles around Diamond Head instead. It measured just over 10,500 strides, though the elevation change was modest.
In spite of COVID-19, our efforts will continue to help make a big difference in the fight against blood cancers, so on behalf LLS, I thank you deeply for your support

Who is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society?
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Every day, more than 347 LLS sponsored researchers come closer to the goal of finding a cure for leukemia and related blood cancers. Locally, LLS funds 10 researchers at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and University of Washington Medical Center. Your support and commitment to the mission of LLS enables us to continue this important work of saving lives and aids us in our ability to reach patients in our community.
Thank you for your time and I hope that you will consider donating to this cause!
