Climb. Conquer. Cure.
This year I again will be participating in the annual Scott Fire Fighter Stair Climb on Sunday March 10, 2019, to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the fight against blood cancers. This will be my 13th year of climbing stairs as a firefighter, raising over $116,000 for LLS. I continue to serve as a volunteer fire fighter with the North Highline Fire Department where I started my path as a fire fighter / EMT in 2005.
The stair climb is 69 floors to the top of the Columbia Center, wearing full fire gear (50+ lbs) and breathing on SCBA. This is the single largest individual fire fighter competition worldwide, with 1,800 fire fighters from across the U.S., Canada and several other countries.
The stair climb is a fundraiser for LLS, raising $2.6 million in 2018. 100% of proceeds go directly to LLS. Funds raised by LLS are used for patient services, blood cancer research and advocacy.
I climb to raise money to find cures. Beating cancer is in our blood.
Thank you for making a difference!
