2013 team members; Engineer Josh Charles, Fire Fighters, Lewis England, Jim Dyk and Probationary FF Dillon Smith
The Scott Firefighter Stairclimb is a race up the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle. Our team will be running up 69 flights of stairs in full fire gear and SCBA (over 50lbs of gear). While we welcome the challenge, we are doing this to fight blood cancers. All proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Hear are some stats from 2012: (with over 1552 participants)
We raised $3,375.00 from both individuals and business sponsors
Finished 36th our of approx. 200 teams and had 2 top 100 finishers, 2 in the top 450 and 1 in the top 500! so we all finished in the top 1/3 of the climb, we hope to better both our overall team time of 49:01 and fundraising goal of $4,000.00
We would love for you to support our team Your tax deductible donation helps in the fight against blood cancers. The Bozeman Fire and Bozeman Fire Fighters IAFF Local 613 have both been great supporters of our team and this event, all team members travel and attend this event at their own cost AND day off of work. They City of Bozeman Fire Department does not cover or pay any expenses of this trip/team. However the City and FD have been gracious enough to allow the use of our PPE and SCBA enabling us to attend and participate in this event, so we would like to thank them for their great support again this year and years past!
Thank you for your support! Remember, every dollar counts when someone's life depends on it!
