Hello & welcome to our Big Climb team page. The Big Climb is a stairclimb up the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle. Our team will all run/walk up the 69 flights of stairs. While we welcome the challenge, we are doing this to fight blood cancers. All proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
We are dedicated to raise awareness about this deadly disease. Our daughter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on July 16th, 2003. She spent the next 2 and 1/2 years enduring chemotherapy. Today, she no longer needs treatment and in another year will be considered in full remission. We are blessed to have a survivor. Events, such as The Big Climb, are reasons people are living longer and beating this disease. It is by your support we can fight this disease and make a difference in people's lives everywhere.
Our family is quite aware that Luekemia affects more than just children. This year we are climbing in honor of those we have lost and those who are still fighting. We will be adding names to our list throughout the fundraising process. The names you see on our page are friends and/or family members of those on our team.
