Big Climb 31 Information & Registration Reminder Registration for Big Climb 31 opens in 47 days on October 27! As registration approaches, we are excited to share with you some new opportunities and changes within Big Climb. In an effort to continually improve Big Climb while furthering the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, we will be implementing some new changes. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions on these changes. Fundraising Minimum for 18 and Older - $150 All participants regardless of age are required to meet the fundraising minimum. This year the fundraising minimum for those participants who are 18 years or older will be raised to $150, while it will remain at $100 for participants 17 and under. By increasing the fundraising minimum from $100 to $150, the impact on blood cancers will be even greater. In the words of the LLS CEO, Dr. Louis DeGennaro, "While I’m immensely pleased by our financial results this past year, I am not content. We left $30 million of worthy research, potential cures, and patient services unfunded." This is why each year we strive to grow to ensure we meet those benchmarks and direct as much funding back to blood cancer research as possible, helping to become closer to a cure each day. Team Name on T-Shirt Can you imagine 6,000 participants wearing the name of your team on the back of their shirt?! Every team who raises at least $15,000 by March 1, 2017 will have their team name printed on the back of all participant t-shirts. Team Divisions This year when registering your team, there will now be two divisions of teams – corporate teams and friends & family teams. Corporate teams are comprised of employees of a company and will be entered into the Big Climb Corporate Competition. For more information about the Corporate Competition, including the prizes, please click here. Friends & family teams are community teams and are comprised of friends, family, church groups, schools, gyms/workout groups, and any other community members. Team Captains will select a team division during the registration process. Both team types will still be competing for top team awards, Summit Club, etc. and these competitions will still be based on team size and fundraising ("Large Per Capita", "Small Per Capita" and "Overall"). Early Bird Registration Early Bird Registration is for participants who raised $1,000 or more during Big Climb 30. Early Bird registration will be open October 18-20. More details about Early Bird Registration will be sent to those who are eligible. The Big Climb community is an incredible group of passionate people, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society continues to make great progress in the world of blood cancer because of your dedicated efforts.
